These are the perfect snack anytime anyday with my family!It will vanish immediately!Both the dad and daughter will see to it that the jar is cleared off its contents.But it gives me satisfaction to see that all the hardwork( not much in this case) has good results :)
In this weather, its nice to have crunchy munchies and its safe to have as long as it is home made.
You need
Chick pea flour/Besan 1 cup
Rice flour 3/4 cup
Chilli powder 1 tsp(or more as spicy as you like it)
Salt to taste
Asoefetida/Hing a generous sprinkling
Oil/dalda/butter 1 tablespoon (optional)
Oil to deep fry
Murukku maker/achi with straight lines mould

- In a mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients into a nice smooth dough (the smoother it is the easier it will be to press the pakodas on the muruku press).
- Heat the oil and once its hot enough, fill the murukku maker with the dough and press it onto the oil.
- Fry till golden brown.
- Crunchy ribbon pakodas and masala tea make a sooper combination!
